Quarry Bank House is a well preserved, stone built house situated in area
formerly known as Grimshaw Delf.
Built over 100
years ago, it is a multi-storey family house and was extended in the
late 1960's to accommodate a club, which is now run separately.
Quarry Bank
Community Association was formed to provide a local meeting place and
Community Centre for Skelmersdale residents. A sum of £40,000 was
raised for refurbishments and extensions by the Association through
donations from the Carnegie Trust, The Department of Education and
Science, Lancashire County Council, Skelmersdale and Holland U.D.C. and
the Development Corporation.
